Jury selection underway in Bell County murder trial


PINEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Jury selection continued on Thursday. Court adjourned around 6:30 p.m. with no jury seated yet.

Attorneys spent Thursday questioning the jury pool.

Jury selection resumes on Friday morning.


PINEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Jury selection is still underway. The second day of jury selection adjourned on Wednesday evening with a jury not seated yet.

Jury selection continues on Thursday.

PINEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Officials are trying to seat a jury in the trial of three people accused of beating and killing a Bell County man.

Officials say Deborah Partin, Candy Maiden, and Brian Hatfield murdered 91-year-old William Taylor of Frakes in 2008.

A fourth person charged in the case, Jeremiah Evans, pleaded guilty to facilitation to murder in the case. He is expected to testify against the other three suspects charged in the case. Sentencing for Evans was postponed until after the trial.

Jury selection lasted all day on Tuesday. It will resume on Wednesday morning.
