FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - One of the Kentucky State Police Most Wanted fugitives is behind bars in Floyd County.

Police say Earl Ray Slone was wanted for fraudulent use of a credit card and tampering with physical evidence.

Officials say Slone was indicted in 2012 and has been on the run ever since.

He is listed as most wanted from KSP Post 6 in Dry Ridge.

Officials with the Attorney General's office say police found Slone earlier this week, but he ran.

Police say they found him Wednesday afternoon hiding in the woods.

"We just kept on getting tips. The Kentucky State Police and the Attorney General's office pretty much did not let up any pressure with this guy. He's ran, ran from them and everything else. He just didn't have anywhere else to go today," said Prestonsburg Police Sgt. Brian Walker.

Slone is being held in the Floyd County Detention Center.
