FRANKFORT, Ky. (WYMT) - Kentucky State Police posts across the commonwealth are collecting donations for their annual "Cram the Cruiser" food drive.

People are invited to bring non-perishable foods to any state police post.

Troopers at each post will be filling a cruiser with the foods through December 14.

They plan to donate all of it to local food banks in need.

"We will travel out to the counties we serve here at the Pikeville post, and identify the organizations that need these non-perishable items, and divide them up between each agency and help in their community," said KSP Post 9 Trooper Shaun Little.

During last year's drive they collected more than 25 tons of food.
