State police are investigating two cities in Harlan County, both due to financial reasons.
The Harlan Daily Enterprise reports Harlan city attorney Scott Lisenbee confirmed an investigation Friday into what he called "some accounting discrepancies" that came up in the city's last audit.
Recently elected Lynch mayoR John Adams says KSP is also looking into the matter of missing money from his city's police department.
Adams says the money, possibly more than nine thousand dollars, went missing following a drug raid.
