KU customers will see rates increase

Kentucky Utilities customers recently received notice that monthly rates would increase.

The Harlan Daily reports that Kentucky Utilities filed a request for an adjustment of rates with the Kentucky Public Service Commission to become effective on or after August 1st.

A KU spokesman says the rate increase of $7.41 per month is not expected to take effect until January of next year.
