Kentucky 74 in Bell County reduced to one lane

MANCHESTER, Ky. — (June 27, 2011) — Kentucky 74 in southern Bell County is reduced to one lane near Garmeada at milepoint 10 due to portions of the road being washed out as a result of recent flooding.

Crews are working to install a retaining wall that will allow for restoration of the highway, as well as protect the road from future high water events.

Temporary traffic signals are in place to direct traffic through the work zone.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area. KYTC is grateful for the public’s patience as repairs are made.
