Fifty members of the Kentucky House of Representatives sent a letter to the president about the use of coal and its benefits in Kentucky.

Their concern was expressed in the letter over what they see as an attack on coal. They mentioned that coal plays too big of a role in meeting the country's energy needs and it could help the country for years to come.

They also state that in the state of Kentucky, coal is not just an energy source, but a way of life. They say clean-coal technology could strengthen out energy dependence.

In the end of the letter, all fifty representatives signed.
