Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Commissioner resigns

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WYMT/CN2)- Kentucky is looking for a new fish and wildlife commissioner after the current one resigned.

CN2 reports Jonathan Gassett sent a letter to his colleagues saying he was going to work at a non-profit wildlife organization.

The resignation comes as Gassett's future with the agency had become increasingly unclear.

Legislators had questioned his employment contract because he had failed to get it properly approved through the state legislature.
