Kentucky Space Movie Project Starts Today

Updated: Sun 12:01 AM, Mar 03, 2013

Nine schools attended the Kentucky Space Movie Project at Hazard Community and Technical College today.

This is the second year of the event which is sponsored by Dataseam, Morehead State University and the Challenger Learning Center of Hazard . Students have the opportunity to choose from 15 space subjects and create a multimedia presentation. Students were taught the basics of interviewing today to begin their projects.

"They learn a little bit of movie making. How to tell a story using digital equipment, and they learn a lot of science. Getting deeper into subjects that they may not have time to do," said Henry Hunt, COO of Dataseam.

All movies will be shown and a winner will be selected on April 26th.
