Kentucky Teleworks Job Screening Starts

By Steve King |

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Monday was the first of three days of job screening by the Kentucky Teleworks.

It was also the opening of the Kentucky Teleworks hub.
The hub has 22 fully equipped and internet connected offices.
The Director of Kentucky Teleworks says this means a new group of people can find work.

"The Teleworks Hub is very important because we have found through our research that so many people want to Telework. But they have obstacles such as connectivity, equipment at home. And some folks just don't have the quiet place to work from home," said Ball.

Ball says one company told him they want 400 new employees by April, but could not tell us which company it was.

If you want to attend the job screening, please bring your drivers license, social security card, and a resume to the Career Center Perry County JobSight at 412 Roy Campbell Road in Hazard. The job screening will be on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. To 4 p.m.
