The state's new Agriculture Commissioner has fired reality TV star Rodger Bingham, who gained fame as "Kentucky Joe" on the hit show, "survivor".
Richie Farmer appointed Bingham in 2004 as a spokesperson, making about $7,000 a month. The Lexington Herald-Leader reports Bingham's duties included speaking engagements and photo opportunities.
