Kentucky Military History Museum to reopen next month

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Kentuckians can get their first look at a renovated Kentucky Military History Museum at the State Arsenal on
Veterans Day.
The museum in downtown Frankfort will reopen to the public in a
ceremony on Nov. 11.
The facility is operated by the Kentucky Historical Society and
the Kentucky Department of Military Affairs.
So far, nearly $1.5 million has been allocated to the renovation
project. By the time the restoration is complete, expected in 2013,
the project will cost more than $2 million.
Built in 1850, the State Arsenal is listed in the National
Register of Historic Places.
A "Kentucky Military Treasures" exhibit will be on display
