Kentucky breaks ground on new emergency ops center

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Lt. Gov. Jerry Abramson and Maj. Gen. Edward Tonini, the adjutant general of the Kentucky National Guard, will be at a groundbreaking ceremony for the new state emergency center in Frankfort.

The ceremony to be held Tuesday will be at the Boone National Guard Center. Kentucky officials say the new center represents an investment of nearly $10 million in upgrades to a facility that dates back to the Cold War
