For many Wildcat fans, the Georgia Dome is like Rupp Arena to the south. The Cat's first practice drew fans in early to the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament.
Some die hard Big Blue fans, who don't always get to see the wildcats in action, took the afternoon in Atlanta to see the team practice. Many wanted to see how the Cats stack up against the Hoosiers, in what some are calling a revenge match-up.
"It's great having Kentucky in Atlanta. I've been in Atlanta for 26 years. It's always great to see good basketball and it doesn't get any better than Kentucky," said one fan.
"It's extremely exciting. They call it Catlanta during the SEC. It's fun to come down to Atlanta and enjoy the game. I think the Cats will do well. They have matured as well as Indiana. Neutral setting here. I think we are going to have a good game," another fan said.
"It's more the fans I think. I think the players will be focused, come out and get the job done tomorrow."
"Well, I think they are going to go to the Final Four. At first, I was worried about Missouri, but then they lost. So, I think they are easily going to win the championship.
"I hope they go all the way. We are real excited you know. We came all the way from Ohio."
Tip-off is set for 9:45 Friday night. For fans thinking about heading down, Officials at the Georgia Dome say there are tickets available.
Our crew in Atlanta is sending a word of warning to allergy sufferers heading to the game. Atlanta broke a record earlier this week for the pollen count.
