A new report says Kentucky leads the nation when it comes to binge drinking.
The Centers for Disease Control defines binge drinking as consuming more than four drinks on one occasion.
Their report shows that 12% of Kentucky's population indulges in binge drinking.
That's still lower than the national average of 17.
However, Kentuckians who do binge drink, do so an average of six times per month and that’s the highest rate in the country.
The majority of those binge drinkers are 65 and older.
