Kingsport woman killed on I-75 in Campbell County, Tennessee

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT)- The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a crash on I-75, near mile marker 157, claimed the life of a Kingsport woman.

THP says the wreck happened around 1:45 Sunday afternoon.

Investigators say 42-year-old Elizabeth Elsevier was behind the wheel of a Toyota 4-Runner heading south in heavy rain, when the SUV hydroplaned, went off the road and struck a guardrail.

No other people or vehicles were involved.

The wreck is under investigation.
