Rounds of heavy rain will begin to move into the area later tonight, leading to the increased potential for flooding. A Flood Watch is in effect for the entire area from now through Thursday and a Winter Storm Warning goes into effect tomorrow. As we head into Wednesday, temperatures will drop and transition our rain to sleet and eventually to snow. Most of the area could see several inches of snow and sleet before it's all said and done. Keep it locked right here for updates.
CORBIN, Ky. (WKYT/WYMT) - Deputies are trying to figure out who called in a bomb threat to a building that houses a sheriff's office.
Police tell us they evacuated the Knox Annex building on HIghway 25E in Corbin as a precaution. Along with a Knox County Sheriff's Office, the county clerk's office and an ambulance service also work out of the building.
State Police responded with a bomb-sniffing dog at the scene, but nothing suspicious was found. Workers were later allowed back inside the building.
Knox County deputies are investigating the case.
