Ky. Students appearing in national parade

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - It is a big day for dozens of Kentucky high school students .

More than 200 students at Lafayette High School in Lexington will take part in the 124th Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, California. Six students from Montgomery County High School will also take part.

Lafayette is the first Lexington high school band to ever take part in the parade. They are already in California and enjoying the sights.

Lafayette is the last group performing in the parade. That performance is expected to happen around 12:45 p.m.
