FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear is asking the federal government to expedite aid to the tornado-stricken state as the death toll continues to climb.
Beshear said Sunday that he has "no doubt" that the state suffered enough damage to qualify for federal aid after a barrage of deadly tornadoes and severe storms swept through the state on Friday.
The state has deployed almost 400 National Guard troops to help the hardest-hit areas
