Many areas in our region were hit hard with rain and severe weather this Labor Day weekend.
Yet, folks at Levi Jackson State Park still had fun, despite the weather.
Campers stayed busy with activities throughout the weekend, including crafts, mini golf and even live entertainment.
Managers said they saw no difference in the number of reservations, despite the rain.
“I would say that our Labor Day weekend was pretty much up to par to the ones we've had in the past. We've really had a good weekend they're all starting to pull out on us now. I would say that campers would say the enjoyed the weekend,” said Park Manager Carol Kirby.
Also, campers said they had just as much fun.
“We had a good time. Spent some time with our grandson, and the pool was ok, and we did miniature golf between the storms, said camper Ken Cookston.
Park officials have already started planning several fall events and activities.
