Laurel County woman arrested on drug charges

A Laurel County woman faces numerous charges after police find drug paraphernalia in her car.

State police say they were conducting a traffic safety checkpoint this weekend on Kentucky 3434 when a car driven by Kimberly Johnson avoided the checkpoint and turned into a nearby parking lot.

Police stopped Johnson and found 7 plastic bags containing Methampethamine, Oxycodone and other drug paraphernalia.

Johnson was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
