LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A Lexington lawmaker says she will apologize after calling another legislator a "narrow-minded" nimrod on a social media outlet.
Democratic state Sen. Kathy Stein told the Lexington Herald-Leader that she made the comment on an old blog and thought it would be private, but the commenting system was powered by Facebook and so her post also appeared on her Facebook account.
Her comment about Republican Sen. Mike Wilson of Bowling Green: "This narrow-minded nimrod is now the Chair of the Senate Education Committee - Lord help us."
Wilson told the newspaper on Monday that Stein's "negative discourse" saddened him, but he was excited about his new position on the education committee.
