Lawmaker wants tougher regulations on cough medicines

An Eastern Kentucky lawmaker wants to make it tougher for children to get their hands on a substance some are abusing.

Representative Fitz Steele of Hazard pre-filed a bill that would limit Dextromethorphan, which is commonly used in cough medicines.

Minors would be banned from possessing it and adults would have to show an ID and the amount they get would be limited.
