Severe weather looks likely later this afternoon. The best chances appear to be between 3 p.m. and Midnight. Damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain, and an isolated tornado or two are possible. The area at the greatest risk for severe weather in eastern Kentucky is in the Cumberland Valley, near the I-75 corridor. Keep it locked here for updates.
LOUISA, Ky. (WYMT) - A Lawrence County man was arrested after police say he tased his wife and children.
Kentucky State Police received an anonymous call Tuesday that 38-year-old Buddy Moore had repeatedly used a taser on his wife and two children at their home on Fullers Ridge Road in Louisa.
Moore is charged with first degree criminal abuse of a child 12 or under and second degree assault-domestic violence.
"We do come across people who use tasers, typically not in this type of circumstance, not on their children or spouse. Typically it's because they were defending theirself," said Trooper Michael Murriell.
Moore was taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center. He was released on bond Thursday afternoon.
