Legal notices removed on Bell County fire stations for sale

Updated: Fri 6:41 PM, Oct 05, 2012

BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - The legal notices attached to the deeds for the Bell County fire station buildings for sale have been removed.

The Bell County Volunteer Fire Department is accepting bids on the closed buildings in Colmar, Calloway, and Brownies Creek.

Judge-Executive Albey Brock said the buildings were the taxpayers and attached notices called "Lis Pendens" on the property title deeds to let potential buyers know there was pending legal action.

Since the federal judge ruled the fire department owned the buildings, the County Clerk says "Lis Pendens" notices were removed.

The BCVFD has advertised it is planning to open bids on Tuesday, October 9th.
