Legislation to increase the state's dropout age moves forward

Lawmakers took another step toward changing the state's dropout age on Tuesday.

A house education committee passed a bill that would allow schools to increase the age to 18.

The bill does not require it.

It already passed the senate and is now headed to the full house.
