WHITESBURG, Ky. (WYMT/Mountain Eagle) - A Whitesburg man faces charges for allegedly leading police on a chase and damaging two police cruisers.
The Mountain Eagle reports on Sunday, Ken Trent Jr. was allegedly speeding along U.S. 119 in Mayking when police tried to stop him.
When he did not stop, officials say several police cruisers became involved in the pursuit.
Trent escaped when he turned onto Easy Street which turns into a dirt road.
The newspaper reports Trent admitted to the chase later and is charged with assault of a police officer, criminal mischief and wanton endangerment.
