PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Just after 10:00 Wednesday morning Pikeville police got a call that someone was selling drugs on Peach Orchard Road, but they say they quickly learned that was not the whole story.

"A female answered the door and advised the subject was in the house armed with a small knife and that she was trying to get him to leave but he was refusing to leave," said Public Safety Director Paul Maynard.

They say the man knows the woman who lives in the home and was there to borrow money. She did not want to speak on camera, but told WYMT when she refused to give him money he sat down on the couch, pulled out his knife and refused to leave. Then a neighbor called police.

"She made it known quickly that her four children were also in the home. These were very small children," said Maynard.

Police say when they got there they found him under the bed still in possession of the knife and a bag meth, and when they finally got the man out of the house he gave them four different names before they figured out who he actually was.

It was not long before police discovered that man, 25-year-old Houston Toney, of Lexington was high.

"He was transported to Pikeville Medical Center to be treated for possible overdose due to him ingesting the methamphetamines," said Officer Josh Lawson.

No one in the house was injured.

Police say Toney will be facing charges for possession of a controlled substance, public intoxication and giving false identification to officers once he is released from the hospital.
