A mother is facing a long list of charges after police say her three young kids were found hurt inside a crashed car.
West Virginia State Police tell our sister station Georgia Roberts was arrested Thursday near Chapmanville.
Police say Roberts was driving along U.S. 119 when she ran off the road and over an embankment, crashing through a fence in a neighbor's yard.
When troopers got on scene, they say they found Roberts 10-month-old son, 2-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter hurt and alone inside the car.
Shortly after, police say Roberts reported her car as stolen.
After reviewing surveillance video at a nearby gas station, police say they determined Roberts was driving the car at the time of the accident. They say it appears she fled the scene of the accident because she was driving on a suspended license.
Her three children were taken to a local hospital where they were treated and released.
Roberts is charged with three counts of child neglect, leaving the scene of an accident, driving on a suspended license and filing a false report.
Roberts is being held in the Southwestern Regional Jail.
