Logan County, West Virginia woman charged with attacking police officer

A woman in Logan County was taken to jail early Saturday morning after police say she attacked a sheriff's deputy. It happened outside of "Tops", which is a bar in Logan.

Deputies say Paula Coleman Benjamin came out of the bar and attacked a deputy with a pool cue. Deputies say Benjamin continued fighting while they tried to handcuff her, but it didn't end there.

After being placed in the back of a cruiser, Benjamin was able to slip out of the handcuffs. Deputies say Benjamin busted out the spike heels of her shoes.

Deputies had to use pepper spray to finally get her back into custody. Benjamin now faces a long list of charges including public intoxication, and two counts of battery of an officer.
