Longtime football coach Kenny Roark dies following battle with illness

Our sports department has confirmed former Middlesboro and Clay County football coach Kenny Roark died late Thursday night following a long illness.

Roark spent 17 years with Middlesboro and one year with Clay, compiling a overall record of 154-72.

He also led Middlesboro to the 1998 Class A state championship.
