Louisville native Jennifer Lawrence to host 'SNL'

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Louisville native Jennifer Lawrence, whose starring role in "Silver Linings Playbook" has drawn nominations for Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards this month, will host "Saturday Night Live" when it returns in January after the holidays.

The 22-year-old actress has not previously hosted the NBC comedy show.

"Saturday Night Live" announced her appearance will be Jan. 19.

Lawrence also portrayed Katniss Everdeen in the hit "The Hunger Games" this year and won acclaim for her role in the 2010 film, "Winter's Bone."
