Lowe's shooting case is heading to a grand jury

The case of a Floyd County man who allegedly fired shots inside a Pike County Lowe's is headed to a grand jury.

Earlier this month, police say Barry Cates walked into Lowe's to confront an co-worker who he had argued with before.

During an interview with police, Cates said his intent was to kill the Lowe's employee and then to kill himself or have police kill him.

Cates is charged with wanton endangerment and is being held at the Pike County Detention Center.
