Lt. Gov. Abramson visits HCTC

HAZARD, Ky (WYMT) - Lieutenant Governor Jerry Abramson has a message for youngsters in Perry County, you are never too young to plan for the future.

Abramson stopped by Hazard Community and Technical College today to recognize kids participating in an interactive program known as Career Craze Camp.

While the event lasted only a short while, Abramson says its effect will ripple into the future.

"Well, we set this career Craze up for kids in their seventh eight and ninth grade. To get them to realize that high school diplomas are no longer enough, and we want to get them focused right now, plus their parents on the importance of continuing their education" said Abramson.

This is the first time the college hosted the camp, though Career Craze is an annual event in other places.
