Posted: Mon 7:18 PM, Jan 21, 2013

MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WYMT) - On this Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. day, groups honored his legacy across Kentucky.

In Middlesboro, the Lincoln School Homecoming committee hosted a luncheon and held a ceremony in memory of Dr. King. They also honored some graduating high school seniors.

"Most of us graduated from the old Lincoln School that used to be here in town, and we just feel like we need to bring something back, give something back to the community, just to help out," said Wallace Wade.

Students from Middlesboro, Pineville, Bell County, and Barbourville were honored.
