An eastern Kentucky town is getting a significant upgrade to their local fire station.
The new multi-million dollar facility in Neon has people ready to celebrate, but the dedication of the building will be shared with the fallen heroes of September 11th.
It's probably not the kind of fire department you would expect to see in Neon, Kentucky.
The four million dollar facility will soon house the folks who work on a daily basis to keep their community safe and they have chosen the tenth anniversary of September 11th to dedicate the new building.
Sunday's dedication will begin at two o' clock.
The new facility will make room for more workers and better resources.
The Neon Fire Department helps serve all of Letcher County.
