A Harlan County man has been accused of burglarizing the same convenient store three different times.
Police say Robert Middleton is responsible for all three.
Yet, Middleton told a different story.
“I'm guilty for the first one but I'm not guilty for all the other ones they're trying to lay on me,” said Middleton.
He was charged with burglary and criminal mischief.
Officials said state police arrested Middleton for the third burglary after receiving tips from people in the Cawood community.
“The communities are tired of this thieving and robbing, and they do not necessarily want to come forward with their name and stuff but they'll call and say hey they were doing this and you might want to check into it,” said Harlan County Sheriff Marvin Lipfird.
Middleton could face more charges.
He said he regrets what he did.
“I wished I'd never even been involved in it. I wasn't the one that went in the place. I just stood outside, but I still got the same charge.” said Middleton.
Officials say Middleton could face up to ten years in jail if convicted.
