Man accused of killing a sheriff in 1969 pleads not guilty

MANCHESTER, Ky. (WYMT) - A man accused of killing a Clay County Sheriff more than 43 years ago answered to those charges Monday.

In May of last year Oran Brumley was charged for the 1969 murder of 52-year-old James "Matt" Sizemore.

Brumley pleaded not guilty in the case.

Officials say in June of 69 Sizemore was gunned down while serving warrants on Ephram Creek Road.
