TAZEWELL, Tn. (WYMT/WVLT) - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation
arrested 64 year-old Larry Hazelett. Investigators say he shot and killed 56 year-old Gary Butcher of Payne Circle in Tazewell.
Around 8:00 p.m. Saturday, the Tazewell Police Department responded to multiple 911 calls at 2385 Old Highway 25-E, in Tazewell. There, officers discovered Butcher shot multiple times.
They say he got into a fight with Hazelett. Hazelett got a gun from his vehicle and shot Butcher, who died at the scene.
TBI charged Hazelett with one count of criminal homicide.
