MINGO COUNTY, W.Va. (WYMT/WSAZ) - Investigators say drugs were involved in a deadly accident involving a car and school bus.
The accident happened on November 7th near Breeden in Mingo County.
Following the crash, Mingo County Sheriff's Deputies said Lewis Perry was driving a vehicle that crossed the center line and crashed into the bus head on.
Perry's passenger, Randolph Marcum, of Breeden, was killed in the crash.
The driver of the school bus was not seriously hurt.
Deputies said they found pill bottles and alcohol cans in Perry's car.
On Monday, Perry, 40, of Wilsondale, was arrested and charged with felony DUI causing death and misdemeanor reckless driving.
According to the criminal complaint, medical records show that Perry tested positives for marijuana and Xanex.
Perry is being held in the Southwestern Regional Jail.
There were no kids on the school bus when the crash happened .
