Man enters not guilty plea in murder case

SALYERSVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - A Magoffin County man charged with murder pleaded not guilty Thursday afternoon.

Police say Daniel Hackworth shot and killed 49-year old Donnie Allen the day before Allen's wedding in January.

Allen's body was found outside his Salyersville home.

Investigators say he was shot in the chest at close range.

Hackworth's next court appearance is June 17th.
