Man faces charges following fatal crash

SOMERSET, Ky. (WYMT) - A Southern Kentucky man faces charges after a late night crash that claimed the life of a teenager.

Police say 19-year-old Jacob Ebenstein was thrown from his motorcycle when a car driven by 40-year-old William Wesley pulled out in front of him at the intersection of Kentucky 635 and Smith Vault Road.

That’s located just north of Somerset.

Ebenstein later died at the UK Medical Center.

Wesley is charged with DUI but more charges could soon be filed.

Jacob Ebenstein was headed home from his job at Culver's in Somerset when police say a car going the other way crashed into his motorcycle.

The question is if he will face charges now or if the grand jury will be given information for an indictment.

Police say Wesley failed field sobriety tests and he admitted to drinking before the accident.

Police say two blood alcohol tests were given to Wesley but it will be several weeks before those results will be known.
