Man faces drug charges in Boyd County

CATLETTSBURG, Ky.(WYMT)- A Catlettsburg man is facing multiple drug charges in Boyd County.

Officials say 21-year-old Michael Johnson threw a container filled with Oxycodone pills from his vehicle while trying to avoid police Wednesday night. Sheriff's deputies say they found a large amount of money in Johnson's vehicle. Johnson is charged with drug possession, drug trafficking and tampering with evidence. He is being held in the Boyd County Detention Center.
