Man facing multiple charges after Saturday traffic stop

LONDON, Ky. A man is in jail facing a slew of charges following a Saturday afternoon arrest.

A Laurel County Deputy arrested Brandon Phelps, 30, of Corbin during a traffic stop on J. Chesnut Lane.

Deputies say Phelps gave the officer a fake name, apparently trying to avoid arrest.

The officer found suspected marijuana, rolling papers, and other paraphernalia in Phelps's possession.

Some of the charges he is facing include possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.

He is at the Laurel County Detention Center.
