Man in Jackson County dies during woodcutting accident

Officials say Denver Lee Madden, 73, was cutting wood on private property when a vehicle began rolling away.

JACKSON COUNTY, Ky. One man died Saturday morning trying to stop a runaway truck.

It happened around 8 a.m.

Officials say Denver Lee Madden, 73, was cutting wood on private property when a vehicle began rolling away.

They say Madden tried to stop the truck, and got caught and hit a tree.

The accident was near the Jackson/Owsley County line.

One other person was with Madden at the time of the incident.
