WYMT Severe Weather Alert

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for all of Southeastern Kentucky until 10pm tonight. The primary threats from this system will be strong winds and large hail. Isolated tornadic activity certainly can't be ruled out of the equation.

Man killed in crash

SALYERSVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Family and friends are mourning the loss of a Salyersville man.

Police say just before 5am Monday, 31-year-old Rodney Humphrey crashed his car along Kentucky 114 in Magoffin County.

Humphrey lost control of the car, ran off the road, and flipped the vehicle in a ditch.

The deputy coroner say Humphrey died at the scene.
