Man leads Loyall police chief on foot chase

A complaint about someone climbing out of an apartment window lands one Eastern Kentucky man behind bars on a laundry list of charges.

Loyall Police Chief Mike Lunsford says when he confronted Robbie Joe Johnson, Johnson gave him a false name and ran.

Lunsford says he chased Johnson through traffic and over a hill where the man jumped into a creek but was later arrested.

Johnson faces charges including fleeing or evading on foot and wanton endangerment.
