Man sentenced in Leslie County murder case

HYDEN, Ky (WYMT) - A Leslie County man will spend half a century in prison for his role in a 2009 murder.

Charles Dwight Watts was convicted by a jury on two counts of murder and one county of robbery.

In 2009, he shot and killed Kelly Johnson and robbed him, then days later he attacked Chad Muncy with a knife and beat him.

He received 20 years for year murder and 10 years for the robbery for a total of 50 years.
