Rain will gradually changeover to snow early Monday morning as temperatures crash into the upper 20s. While snowfall amounts through Monday afternoon will be less than one inch for most, untreated roads are expected to be slick. This is especially the case along the KY/VA border where 1-3" is expected. We have issued a Severe Weather Alert Day to keep you informed on possible negative impacts to travel through Monday afternoon.

CORBIN, Ky. (Corbin News Journal/WYMT) - We now know how long a man convicted of killing another man in Corbin will spend behind bars.
The Corbin News Journal reports a judge sentenced Christopher Caudill to 10 years for killing Willie Smith.
Police say Caudill hit Smith's car while driving under the influence in October of 2010.
Kentucky law requires Caudill to serve two years before going before the parole board.
The Commonwealth's Attorney says time caudill has already served will count toward his sentence ... meaning he could be eligible for parole in October.
