SOMERSET, Ky. (WYMT) - A Pulaski County man will be sentenced January 24th for the murder of his wife.

Timmy Hislope pleaded guilty to murder and three counts of wanton endangerment for killing Mary Amanda Hislope in the Nancy community back in August.

Officials say when they arrived, Mrs. Hislope answered the door, pulled back inside the house, a shot was heard, and later they found her dead inside the home.

Timmy Hislope was later shot by police after a brief standoff.

The recommended sentence is 20 years for murder and five years for each count of wanton endangerment to run concurrent.
